I chose Holiday Acres for my wedding, even though I had never been there before, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I wanted a serene, cabin-style setting in Wisconsin where both our big families could come together—and this place was perfect. From the moment we arrived, it felt like stepping back in time. The property is beautiful, the lake is stunning, and the atmosphere is calm, cozy, and full of warmth. The staff went above and beyond, and Carol, the events coordinator, was so helpful and patient with all my questions. The resort has so much character, the gift shop is adorable, and the entire experience created memories we’ll cherish forever. I cannot wait to come back with my husband, create new memories, and continue sharing this special place with our family—it truly holds a near and dear place in our hearts.

I went there as a kid in the late 60's and then later with my own children in the late 80's. We haven't been there since 2011 but the place is timeless. Spent some time with my son and daughter-in-law and the grandchildren. Three Coins restaurant was as good as ever. The staff and menu was very kid-friendly. The kids loved the beach AND pool. My son had a cabin right on the beach and we stayed in the lodge. Although it is 200 miles from Milwaukee, it was well worth the drive.

Holiday Acres assisted us in hosting a small retirement celebration. The communication was excellent, the room was lovely, the food superior, and the service - oh my goodness, it was extraordinary. The servers were attentive and avaiable and friendly throughout the entire event. Thank you, HA. We highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed there Wednesday night. The last time that I was there was 40 years ago. It was everything you could ever want in a relaxing place to visit. The scenery, the accomidations and the super attentive staff are excellent. The only thing I was confused about is the menu seemed limited during the week. No steaks or maybe I was reading the menu wrong. Anyway our meal of seared scallops was very good along with the dessert. Next time we are staying for a whole week. I can't wait to get back there!

I have to say, I was skeptical about this place at first. A couple miles off of major roads in Rhinelander, this place really was a gem. We were there for a hockey tournament and they were very accommodating. Breakfasts for the boys each morning, tons of room to spread out, the coffee shop which they let us use as a home base, it was nice. Rooms were big, beds were comfortable. TVs in the rooms are tiny but we weren’t there for the TV. For those that have a techie bone in your body, the internet worked well inside their main building and main lodge rooms. Spectrum 300/10. All in all, I really recommend it, it was absolutely gorgeous in the winter and I’m interested in returning for the summer.

If you’re looking for a nostalgic family summer getaway, this is the place! The wood-paneled cabins are modest but clean, the trails and boat docks are well maintained, and there’s both an indoor pool and a beach to enjoy. We loved the sunken bar at the restaurant on property (the old fashioneds were fantastic), and the kids ordered the ribs both nights we went to dinner, they were that good. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend!

Food, wine, and service all very good. I make an annual deer hunting trip to Rhinelander and we always visit Holiday Acres for dinner at least once. Would have gone twice this year but the restaurant was closed on the Monday before Thanksgiving. Perhaps end of the season?

Just got some drinks and appetizers from the bar area. Great atmosphere and friendly service. The round bar is a really nice set up and very nice place for casual drinks with friends and family.
